Hexham Canoe Club aims to run a challenging programme of activities to help each member develop in paddlesport. Together with Canoe England Northern Region we provide financial support for Club members who wish to progress into the Coaching and Leadership Scheme. Through this, we can provide more paddling opportunities for our members. Please email Sarah Wootton, Club Secretary, for more information. There have been some changes to the administration of bursaries to ensure that coach numbers and skills are aligned to the Region's and our Club's development plans.
Here are links to our coaching, trips and canoe polo pages, where you will find up to date information about what we are doing. We also have a page for Regional Events; these include updates for coaches, Club development sessions and competitive events.

As part of our service to the wider community, Hexham Canoe Club is able to provide taster sessions and short courses for other organisations, including youth groups, colleges and schools. Every year we offer school-club link sessions to schools in the Hexham schools' pyramid. Please email us at info@hexhamcanoeclub.org for more information about this.
Hexham Canoe Club also organises the annual Tyne Tour on behalf of Canoe England's Northern Region. The Tyne Tour is the largest participation canoeing event in Europe. It is a vital source of money to support the development of paddlesport in the north east of England. We always need volunteers to help run this event; please email the Tour Organisers if you're interested! Next Years event will be held from Friday 5th to Sunday 7th November 2010
